The spirit of the lone Traveller

Ever wondered why they say- you need to get lost only to find yourself?
Why is it that people are so desperate to take off and go places about which they nothing about and to meet people they absolutely not know?
Why is it that one has a face like they setting sun as the journey comes to an end and the horror of going back sinks in?
We often blame it on the work waiting back home but is that all we are trying to escape? It is it the people in our lives that we need to shy away from for sometime. These might be some that we cannot not have on our lives for both professional and personal reasons but it is also equally true that they hold us back in life. And at such time. All we need is to feel a sense of liberation. It often becomes a Journey of self exploration where one finds himself exploring the lovely dingy corridor walking towards the end with light hoping he will find some answers subconsciously. It then gives you a weird sense of enlighten where you know who you are and what you want. But then reality hits you soon that there is only so little you can do in this practically driven self centered world. Often these journeys help me realize who matter and who don't. People to whom I want to return to and people I have to return to...
