Brunch with the beast

It was our last morning drive in Panna. As usual, most people looked out for the direction of the antenna of the tiger tracking vehicle. I over time have learnt that I need to follow my instinct and knowledge of the park to track animals. We followed tracks and looked out for the big cat in exactly the opposite that the crowd was looking at. And there it was. A sub-adult tiger cub sitting 10 ft from the road with a Sambar deer leg. No one had even realized the tiger was there, silently enjoying its brunch. On a closer look, it was confirmed the tiger was Shadow, T1's cub.
